A bit more pics and a bit more jigs towards the end of no 2, here is a fret organizer that i made, inspired by Mario! Thanks bud!

On another note, i didn't do this, i left it to the professional John Watkins, i would not have attemted this at home, this tool is just wonderfull to get the fretting done flawlessly, the fret press caul and brass inserts are so well made that each time i pressed a fret in, i'd hear a lil POP! Fits exactly, Thanks John, you made my life easy with your caul and inserts, really amazing stuff!

Fretting halfway!

Frets all in their slots

frets all filed up and trimmed and glueing of the heel cap

glueing of the fretboard to the neck

Here is my nut shaping jig, inspired by Bruce Dickey's idea in the jig section here!

Scrounging must be my middle name, i recuped an old rocking chair and cut the swing out of it to make that dome leveling sanding jig found also in the jig section here!

80 grits on one side of the pad

double-sided tape on the other side which will stick to the swiveling arm which has one of the rocking chair's bearing

The jig ready to sand level!

Some more of the neck and fretboard without clamps

Thanks for watching and sorry for nthose with dial up, i just realized how many pics i inserted here!

Thanks Dave, i swear that all my jigs are made of scrounged parts, i could not afford to buy wood, bolts and nuts or metal for everything but my job allows me to benefit from all this great stuff that people throw out so i take it i'm rich so to speak!

Serge,

I'm trying to figure out what you're planning to do with the neck in the go bar deck. Can you elucidate?

I like that rope purfling. I have something similar, but not as nice. Where's yours from?

Lookin'good Serge!!

Thanks a lot Pat!

Okay, i must admit something here......i'm far from being a NEAT FREAK like Hesh and found some room in the go bar deck to leave the neck to glue!

The rope purf was from Shane Neifer's, pretty stuff indeed, thanks!

That's great Serge! Lookin' really good! I think I'm going to have to hurry up to catch up now!    I only hope you don't have too much problems sanding out those cross-grain marks.

I don't know what you mean about dial-up... You just posted 17 pictures...

Keep it up my friend, you'll be pickin' and grinnin' in no time!!!
